Yesterday we held a late night shopping xmas shindig at The Greenery. The purpose was to showcase The Collective, our massive gift hall specialising in handmade goods and of course our lush garden centre. We invited some foodie friends, photography friends and even a musician and just had fun. The turnout was amazing and it felt so great to have so many people checking out the spaces we've worked so hard with our team to create.
A little background
The property has undergone massive changes since Tina and Grant took over around a decade ago and its current iteration is starting to realise the vision that's been worked on over so many years by so many talented staff (past and present) adding their own brand of magic and skills. The Greenery has become so diverse and it's a place you can easily while away a morning treasure hunting and marvelling.
In the top right of the below picture, you can see our nursery area, we grow thousands of native plants each year for various projects around the region.
In the bottom is our garden centre, the white roof shades our citrus, cacti and seedlings and in front of the split hedge you can see our big trees and the huge shed which is home to The Collective with an airy deck on the front of it. Sometimes you need a coffee and to watch the rain fall and others just a little gelato moment after wandering around in the sun.
On to the market! WOW 🥳
4pm on the dot visitors started streaming in! We've been working so hard to get ready it was almost a shock when the car park filled up straight away, we had to switch from prep mode to party mode real quick.
We saw tonnes of new faces and lots of familiar ones as well, it's so good to have an excuse to get out and catch up at this time of year.
The Garden Centre was full, The Collective was humming 😍 It's easier to share with pictures than with words at this stage as we're all still a bit blown away!
Thanks to Logan for performing for us and blessing us with that fabulous shirt. A definite winner of fashion in the field and a super-talented young man.
It's the first time we've had food trucks in our space and that was a definite hit! As well as a few cheeky beverages in the afternoon sun 💚
Spot prizes, hand scrubs by Shelleigh and photos by The Nomad Creative - all the human sunshine 😍
Check out this flyover of the action!
Thanks for coming along on the ride of our very first big event, we'll return to our regular garden programming now 🌱🪴
